The Dutch tour operator TUI Netherlands, will launch new seasonal flights from Eindhoven to Ohrid in 2018 summer season, announces TAV Macedonia. They will carry out the flights with their own airline - TUI fly.
The leisure carrier that already operates on the route Amsterdam-Ohrid-Amsterdam, bringing Dutch tourists on the Ohrid Lake every year, now will introduce a second air connection. A new route on Mondays and Fridays will start connecting Eindhoven Ohrid airport. Eindhoven is located in the south of the Netherlands and it is close to the Belgian border.
-We are very happy that TUI is expanding its operations, bringing more passengers at Ohrid Airport, which means more tourists on the beautiful Ohrid Lake. We hope that TUI’s tours will attract not just travelers from Netherlands, but travelers from other European countries as well, who will discover the natural beauties of Macedonia and become its regular visitors, stated Alper Ersoy, TAV Macedonia General Manager.
As TUI fly officials announce, the seasonal flights from Eindhoven should bring 3.000 to 3.500 passengers at Ohrid Airport, while in total, including the flights from Amsterdam, TUI expects to bring 15.000 tourists at Ohrid Lake next year.
-We already fly from Amsterdam to Ohrid, and now we will fly from Eindhoven to Ohrid, two times weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, starting from 11th of May, until 21st of September. The main reason to introduce this new seasonal route is because we want to attract travelers from Belgium as well. We are sure we can extend the market, stated Jacques Crijnen, Product Manager at TUI Benelux.
As announced by the leisure carrier TUI fly, this route will be serviced by airplanes from the type Boeing 737-800.
